Full Time Job
This role supports the International Digital Media group with the production and processing of digital video for the ESPN's platforms, including the new ESPN.com site in partnership with Econet, ESPNFC.com ESPN.com, Cricinfo.com and ESPN.co.uk. Based in Bristol, Connecticut, with responsibility for ensuring the workflow between ESPN and Econet for the clipping and distribution of Kwese Sports' highlights and studio content for use across the cobranded Africa edition. Would also lead on collaborating with the wider International Video team and Econet on any short-form digital video creation / projects specifically for the Africa region.
Responsibilities
• Work with the International Multimedia group in producing video for all ESPN Digital Platforms focusing in the new cobranded Africa ESPN.com site.
• Edit and publish Sportscenter content, both original and/or repurposed, as-needed for Digital Platforms Regularly submit new initiatives that will drive traffic and provide other multimedia / editing duties as needed within the International Multimedia Group.
• Clipping and distribution of Kwese Sports' highlights and studio content for use across the cobranded Africa edition.
• Continually refresh our websites and mobile platforms with new video material as directed by supervisor.
• Create, publish and distribute highlights and video alerts to all the different Digital Platforms.
• Maintain awareness of all major domestic and international sports with special emphasis on soccer
• Support social media accounts and social initiatives.
• Provide timely delivery of multimedia elements and publish these elements to various digital platforms
• Develop relationships with our various international networks to obtain material to support show needs;leverage US-based and International libraries and highlight-gathering operation to support International show needs
• Screen videotapes and/or servers; conduct research in the media asset management system to obtain material for the preparation of production elements
• Log and archive video and associated data for future use
• Research, write and disseminate ideas for future content elements on ESPN Digital Int'l platforms
• When appropriate, support field feature production and operate camera and audio equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining our editorial standards on our dot-com websites.
• Accountable for strict adherence to established Production department procedures
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 1 year of multimedia editing experience
• Proficient with MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong knowledge of International and US sports
• Knowledge of editing software and camera operation an advantage
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
