Full Time Job
The California Customer Marketing and Sales office is looking for a seasoned Director of Multimedia Sales who demonstrates strategic vision and the ability to lead. This Director must be proficient in selling multimedia media/sponsorship and possess the ability to help develop our team's strategic sales approach. We are in search of an individual that is driven to exceed goals, collaborate with peers, has the ability to lead initiatives, and develop his or her team.
Responsibilities
• Plans, directs and controls the advertising sales activities for an assigned geographical territory or territories.
• Directs other sales executives accountable for achieving defined sales targets in a geographical region / territory.
• Participates in developing advertising sales strategies for advertising products, programs and services to meet or exceed established advertising sales goals and targets for an assigned geographical territory or territories.
• Directs Account Executives and sales support personnel accountable for achieving defined sales targets in an assigned geographical territory or territories.
• Is accountable for the motivation, morale and productivity of subordinate sales executives.
• Develops and implements sales strategies and tactical advertising sales tactics.
• Leads and participates in making sales to strategically important accounts and agencies.
• Approves and adjusts area / territory advertising sales operating procedures; approves and adjusts area / territory advertising sales operating procedures.
Basic Qualifications
• Has a minimum of 7 years of selling experience with at least 3-years in people management.
• Is an experienced senior manager with good management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Able to balance ESPN's needs and outcomes with personal financial outcomes.
• Has a good understanding of the competitive landscape and of current competitive trends in an assigned territory or territories.
• Is recognized as a marketing subject matter leader with good competence in sales planning and selling.
• Has a good understanding of the brand and the market positioning and sales strategies of an assigned territory or territories.
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
