Full Time Job
The Coordinator, X Games Digital Content recurring position will implement the digital media strategy for xgames.com and support social media content development for the various platforms. This position will align the X Games digital programming strategy with the overarching X Games brand and content strategy to drive overall audience and revenue for the X Games brand.
This is a Recurring/Seasonal position and is not full time - will work no more than 40 weeks (1600 hrs) per year.
Responsibilities
Year Round Responsibilities
• Support year-round digital media strategy for xgames.com during and outside of X Games events, maximizing engagement and growth on each platform and strategically driving consumers to XGames.com
• Along with X Games content team, execute strategy for daily X Games related content on digital media platforms and develop plan for social distribution
• Collaborate with Content Strategy and X Games production to create a weekly content timeline to be published across all X Games digital media, additionally creating event specific content timelines
• Collaborate with Consumer and Event Marketing to incorporate marketing initiatives into digital content and align content with overall X Games marketing and brand initiatives
• Coordinate metrics of digital and social content
• Work with ESPN digital to execute a strategy for action sports content across ESPN channels
• Conduct research to identify content for programming or acquisition by ESPN for inclusion in the World of X programming across multiple platforms.
• Partner with the X Games Sales and Event Development groups to create sponsorable opportunities through digital & social media and integrate activations across all ESPN channels
• In support of overall X Games digital content strategy develop and manage content partnerships that will support X Games digital content strategy and drive year round audience to X Games and ESPN digital platforms
In Event - Role and Responsibilities
• Coordinate programming needs for xgames.com & X Games social media
• Coordinate with event team to support X Games digital initiatives and content generation and distribution during X Games events
• Compile relevant digital metrics and trends from overall event for four day and two week media report
• Compile photos and videos from each discipline for post event galleries and videos
• Organize playlist, top performing videos should be prioritized for default view
• This position is classified as ''recurring'' – cannot work more than 40 weeks per year.
Basic Qualifications
• 2 years' experience in digital media, social media, content creation and content distribution
• Strong knowledge of the action sports industry, youth marketing, athletes, social media and tech trends
• Position requires organizational skills, corporate confidentiality, attention to detail, ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and work independently
• Ability to work with various levels of the organization, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to a high performing team
• Strong written and oral skills
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 years' experience in digital/social media content creation
• Strong understanding of digital trends
• Strong understanding of action sports content landscape, monitoring notable trends and competitive issues including technology trends for digital media distribution platforms
• Video and photo editing is a plus
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
