Full Time Job
The Architectural Database Administrator will be focused on serving the needs within various groups within the Database and Information Services Group with expertise across all groups. The Database and Information Services Group provides data technology solutions for business partners. The role is to properly manage the business and technical requirements, coordinate product components, provide strategic direction and expertise, and maintain customer relationships. The role also spans into operational analysis and support to include things such as Query performance management, application workload management in the database, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with development teams to gather database requirements to develop optimum solutions.
• Provide consultative service during application development to tune data models and database code
• Plan database instance configuration to ensure that applications will have the correct infrastructure to support demand and meet resiliency requirements
• Perform data analysis as required to ensure data integrity
• Execute data replication with appropriate and evolving data replication technologies
• Embrace, lead and evangelize new data technologies that will enhance capability and reduce complexity
• Perform operational support for application issues that manifest themselves in the database.
• Query tuning and other performance related analysis
Basic Qualifications
• 10 years in the aforementioned subject matter experience.
• Extensive and comprehensive Oracle Database experience. SQL Server is a plus.
• Data architecture experience is required.
• Can work independently and lead others, with supervisory oversight occurring at project intervals and milestones.
• Is extremely well organized in order to complete multiple assignments while deadlines.
• Able to assess workload and recognize when to escalate issues to team leads for quick decision making.
• Able to proactively engage team members on all aspects of assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications
• Technical Requirements - Oracle Database, Data Architecture, Data Replication and Management Expertise.
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or its equivalent
