Full Time Job
The Analytical Services Manager will drive business value through the design and implementation of measurement strategies across ESPN brands and products.
Responsibilities
• Lead and optimize measurement implementation process for key product rollouts and updates, create technical requirements, obtain signoff, manage risks, and document and communicate new and changed processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business requirements for analytics and reporting and determine the best data sources, tools and technology to fulfill requirements that are in line with overarching data strategy
• Be a liaison to ESPN's technology team and ensuring requirements are executed accurately by facilitating quality assurance and troubleshooting processes
• Serve as data steward responsible for maintaining data accuracy, proper use and interpretation. Drive new initiatives, to create high-quality, cost-effective measurement and tracking tactics that enable insightful analysis
• Assist in developing data taxonomy, metadata standards and data workflows from internal and external data sets
• Provide clear communication and direction regarding project status and roadmap
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5-7 years of analytics experience, preferably in the media industry
• Deep understanding of digital analytics and tracking protocols across all platforms, including browser, app, OTT devices and gaming consoles
• Expertise in project management and ability to interface with clients at all levels
• Proficient use of tools, such as Adobe Analytics and Microsoft Excel
• Innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Excellent organizational and communication skills – both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with analytics and visualization software such as R, SAS, SPSS, and Tableau
• Understanding of data sources supporting ESPN's media business such as Adobe clickstream and Nielsen ratings data
• Must be team oriented, responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, mathematics, statistics communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
