Full Time Job
The Ad Product Strategy Senior Manager will be will be primarily focused on driving the product strategy and execution of data-driven advertising products across all of ESPN's portfolio of media properties. You will work closely with our sales teams, ad category specialists, product, and marketing teams to identify opportunities that increase revenue, drive performance for our advertising partners, and further innovate in the rapidly changing TV landscape.
You will be expected to be an analytical, business-minded self-starter who is capable of setting strategic priorities but who also excels at executing tactically. Utilizing your multi-tasking skills, your ability to thrive in a fast-paced ad sales environment and building consensus between departments around high-priority advertiser data and targeting needs will help drive your success.
Responsibilities
• Help drive monetization of data ad products to support revenue and direct profit goals/objectives
• Maintain ongoing analysis of the business and use this analysis to drive recommendations for strategic improvements to ad products; identify pain points and drive their implementation.
• Communicate market and client needs based on product performance, client feedback, and monetization performance to product teams in order to drive the conception and prioritization of new ad products and features, while balancing overall revenue driving opportunities.
• Develop market opportunity evaluations and business cases for new product and feature initiatives.
• Manage, develop, and coordinate Go-To-Market strategies – the action plan for delivering new products and features to customers and capturing market share.
• Ongoing collaboration with Sales team in identifying proven key industry trends and client needs to aid in the creation of new products and features.
• Ongoing collaboration with Revenue Management to ensure maximization of yield on inventory across all mediums.
• Manage communication initiatives and provide strategic mentorship to sales team on new releases
• Provide education and sales support on ESPN's data-driven suite of products' selling points and features to help grow and diversify revenue
• Partner with Advertising Integrations, Data Platform, and Ad Technology to evaluate new external partnerships
• Strong analytical skills to assist in RFP and RFI responses across key accounts by providing solutions on how to position ESPN's offerings to best fit clients' needs
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Media and digital advertising
• Understanding of advanced television advertising
• Understanding of the overall ad technology ecosystem (SSP, DSP, RTB, etc.), ad servers, ad formats, 3rd party data, viewability, and other related products and concepts.
• Understanding the overall advertising data space (DMPs, Currencies, Data Brokers, Data Providers, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to understand data-driven advertising products and communicate key features in a concise, benefit-driven capacity
• Ability to meet deadlines swiftly, working in an agile work environment
• Demonstrated project management and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects at a time under tight deadlines and manage expectations of all partners.
