Overview and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maximizing EPIX subscribers and revenue across assigned accounts (MVPDs, VMVPDs, SVOD and future platforms). The Vice President will lead or act as secondary point person in creating deal strategies, negotiating renewals and new deals, creating plans to increase EPIX exposure and engagement and developing packaging and incentive pricing scenarios.
Basic Qualifications:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maximize subscribers and revenue; build and maintain exceptional client relationships
•Grow EPIX distribution across assigned accounts
•Launch new EPIX services/feeds/apps as brought to market
•Forecast monthly subscriber and revenue growth; update EPIX Finance and senior management regularly
•Negotiate new and renewal deals
•Meet with key decision makers and other influencers at clients on a consistent and regular basis
•Provide a high level of responsiveness and customer service
•Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of EPIX objectives, strategies, accounts and deal terms
•Keep abreast of all industry trends, competitive marketplace issues and general media landscape
Act as internal client advocate
•Share thorough understanding of clients' goals and objections with appropriate internal departments (e.g., Finance, Consumer Marketing, Programming, Creative Services, Research, Legal and Corporate Affairs); strategize and collaborate in order to achieve goals
•Translate internal business objectives and strategies into subscriber-based promotions, packages, and offers that leverage EPIX's high quality content and drive the consumer value proposition
•Continually evaluate and adjust strategies and plans to meet changing distribution business landscape, budget realities and market needs; identify and anticipate key marketplace trends that will affect network distribution and plans in the short and long-term. Provide strategic insight into these issues and offer solutions back to senior management.
Additional Qualifications:
SKILL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
•Bachelor's degree
•At least 8 years of top 10 MVPD and/or digital account management
•Established relationships with decisions makers and influencers at top clients
•High level of understanding of the media industry
•Significant experience negotiating complex carriage deals with top MVPDs and/or digital distributors
•Ability to build and maintain high level client and internal relationships
•Premium channel experience preferred
•Successful track record of sales team leadership with demonstrated ability to motivate direct reports in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
•Detail oriented, able to multitask; strong analytical and communications skills
