Duties/ Responsibilities
• Develop & implement all digital marketing initiatives for all label projects
• Write and execute artist/project marketing plans
• Collaborate with digital marketing, press, sales and other online/mobile partners for promotional opportunities & key placement of releases on respective services
• Work directly with artists to develop content, online/mobile campaigns and plans for fan interactivity
• Work closely with teams to manage artist online/mobile presence including websites, social networks and 3 party outlets
• Coordinate online marketing initiatives with all internal departments to maximize utilization of all available tools
• Generate ongoing reports of digital activities and identify areas of opportunity to other team members
• Digital Research and Development for emerging technologies, advertising platforms and music discovery/delivery pipelines
• Manage departmental administrative tasks including invoicing, A/P, managing access to digital platforms and working digital content needs into artist touring/promo schedules
• Develop profitable innovative ways for artists and audiences to find each other and grow that relationship
Other Specific Requirements
• 3-5 years experience in digital music sector
• Extensive knowledge of and strong relationship with digital music portals, services, platforms and music blogs
• Previous music industry experience a must
• Specific knowledge of online music landscape
• Familiarity with new technologies and existing online marketing strategies
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly with a strong orientation toward customer service
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with artists, all levels of employees, management and customers
• Strong editorial/proofreading skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including adaptability, personal effectiveness, and the ability to establish quick rapport
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and follow through
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make proactive recommendations and find/use resources
• Proficient in standard set of digital tools for both internal communication/reporting as well as content creation and management |
