INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
EMI Music North America is looking for enthusiastic, motivated interns for our Spring 2012 Internship Program.
INTERNSHIP: Sales & Marketing Intern
SALARY: Unpaid (for college credit only)
PURPOSE: To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of Sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist Sales Department with creating instore and New Release materials.
• Maintain POP (display material) room.
• Split out/ mail promotional packages to external clients.
• Help maintain display room /mailroom.
• Maintain tour schedule & create graphics on Photoshop for New Releases.
• Help with day to day administrative duties in Sales Department.
PAST SALES INTERNS HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE IN:
• Providing graphics for new releases
• Maintaining the point of purchase list and mailroom
• Developing an understanding of what the Sales Reps and Artist Development Reps do through asking questions and working with the team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Business Administration or Graphics Art Degree preferred.
• Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Photoshop.
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
• Internships require a commitment of at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Sales.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
• Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
• Strong interest in the music industry preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are preferred.
• Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
