Purpose of Role
To produce and present account level, competitive, and industry analysis with a focus on EMI Music’s sales efforts
Key deliverables:
Sales Profitability Targets
•Develop analyses and provide relevant informational support to monitor the performance of sales and assist in the business decision process
• Prepare monthly, weekly and daily sales reports
• Ensure that reports are effective, provided on a timely basis, and subject to rigorous standards
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc account reviews and profiles
• Conduct market research on competitive and industry trends
• Respond to changes in the internal and external environment; proactively alter goals and activities when feasible
Balanced Relationships
• Prepare and present reports that highlight and effectively communicate key issues to sales and marketing customers
• Analyze data against current industry trends to summarize key findings to senior management
• Liaise and maintain interactive relationships with the core sales team
Internal Standards and Analysis
• Exhibit a high level of understanding of information systems and expertise in databases, while exhibiting the ability to work with large quantities of information
• Complete critical analysis of products, genres, special programs, sales terms, channels and accounts
• Assist in the development and upgrade of sales reporting systems; validate data and train users as necessary
• Ensure adherence to internal reporting standards and procedures in conjunction with the sales management team
• Maintain commitment to continuous process improvement: efficiency, effectiveness, and currency
Teamwork and Leadership
• Contribute to an active flow of information communication among internal departments, accounts, and the sales team
• Subscribe to the vision for driving results, ensuring resources to achieve quality, efficiency, and timeliness of results
• Be a role model of EMI success factors
Other Specific Requirements
Essential
• At least 1 year of practical experience (as an Assistant or Coordinator level) in marketing, sales, and/or financial analysis
• Technical proficiency in various applications; to include Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Fluency in the primary language of the region/territory
• Demonstrated experience supporting diverse internal and external customers
Desirable
• Demonstrated experience functioning efficiently in an environment with multiple and shifting priorities and deadlines
• Strong knowledge of the music industry, music genres, music retail, industry trends. |
