Purpose of Role
The Coordinator of Digital Income Processing & Compliance is assigned to a specified business unit (Music Services) within EMI Music North America, and is responsible for supporting all aspects of digital sales reporting and analysis.
Key deliverables:
Sales Processing
• Processing NA digital partner sales files on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis according to the appropriate timelines per partner
• Creating a monthly subscription/streaming processing plan
• Check EMI systems to ensure correct sales amounts process correctly
• Understanding the EMI NA sales reporting specifications
• Converting applicable partners to EMI reporting specifications
• Escalate high, unmatched, late, unusual reporting from partners
Error Correction & Exceptions Processing
• Correcting errors in the raw data sales files and working with partners to prevent future issues
• Correcting exceptions/missing data in sales files using an Access database
• Using Digital Content Database to research materials when correcting files in error
Reports
• Sending weekly sales reports that summarize sales of key partners
• Completing weekly and monthly trackers that show what files are being processed and what files are missing
• Completing weekly error trackers that show what files have been submitted with errors that are being corrected
• Price discrepancy reports for key partners
New Partner Set-ups
• Assist in the creation of new partner set-ups in EMI systems
• Verify that accounts are set-up correctly
Credit & Collections Liaison
• Work with the Credit and Collections team to compare sales processed with monthly remittances received from partners
• Help to investigate discrepancies between payments and sales processed
Digital Support & Analysis
• Supports finance management in responding to NA Central and EMI Global requests/queries.
• Provides other financial and strategic analyses, as required
Teamwork and Leadership
• Provide key support to the management team, developing reports/analyses and contributing to business development and profit maximization.
• Complete other activities as required by the finance management team.
• Be a role model of EMI success factors
Other Specific Requirements:
Essential
• Degree qualified (business, accounting, finance) or equivalent
• 2+ years of accounting, business, and/or finance experience
• High proficiency in Excel and Access; proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Comfortable with large file and data volumes
• Aptitude for financial systems
• High attention to detail and accustomed to meeting deadlines
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review business processes and make (proactive) recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly with a strong orientation toward customer service
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of employees and management
• Positive attitude and team player
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Desirable
• Experience using SAP, PBS, COGNOS, SBM
• Experience in and knowledge of the music industry
• Familiar with digital music products |
