EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution is a rapidly growing division of EMI Music Services North America. We are a top distributor and marketing service provider for many prominent third party labels including Century Media and Welk Music Group. The finance department is looking to hire a motivated, passionate, Director of Finance to join our team.

Key deliverables:
Deliverable Related tasks
Business Development and Operational Support o Conduct and manage financial modeling and board paper preparation for new distribution and marketing service deals
 Conduct competitive analysis and research using Soundscan and other available tools.
 Manage approval process based on delegated authorities
o Ongoing deal portfolio maintenance: track deal expirations, initiate final accounting and collection letters
o Liaise with Business Affairs, Business Development and Managing Director on key deal terms and negotiations.
o Build relationships with Third Party Label Management,
o Ensure all deals are properly setup financially and integrated into EMI Sales and Financial Systems
Financial Planning and Analysis
o Manage, prepare and deliver financial reporting and forecasts for EMI Label Services business including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
o Accurate and timely forecasting of the Label Services P&L with focus on Sales and EBITDA
o Oversee, review and manage key deliverables prepared by the Financial Analyst including
 Sales Analysis, Forecasting and Reporting
 Accurate and timely forecasting of balance sheet and cash flow with focus on assets managed, working capital and cash flow after Investments
 Develop and maintain advance provision models used in third party forecast process
 Prepare and review internal performance reports for distribution to Label Services management: debit balances, sales by label and others
 Management of label service marketing budgets: interact with radio promotion department, perform analysis and manage incoming funds
 Preparation of the monthly business results presentation
 Management of outgoing advance and distributed label monthly payments
Third Party Accounting
o Review key distributed label third party accounting statements to ensure accuracy
o Manage marketing service deal M&P budgets
Projects and Ad Hoc Analysis
o Coop and Advertising Analysis
o Respond to IT and Infrastructure issues related to the business
o Liaise with Sales Analysis Planning and Support on third party label issues
o Liaise with Credit and Collections on special invoicing and requirements
o Perform analysis of returns and street inventory, as required
o KPI Reporting and Support
o Post Investment Reviews
o Policy and Procedure documentation
o Legal support
Requirements
• Degree qualified (business, accounting, finance) or equivalent
• Minimum 5-10 years of accounting and/or finance experience; financial management, budgeting, forecasting, customer management, and policy enforcement
• Strong FP&A and discounted cash flow analysis skills
• Excellent analytical acumen, highly organized and detail oriented
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and macros
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly with a strong orientation toward customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to interact and work with personnel from all operational areas and levels of the company as well as third parties
• Lawson experience preferred
