EMI Christian Music Group in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Marketing Manager.
Job Purpose
To create and implement release-specific product plans in support of the entire artist roster brands to deliver budgeted sales and strategic marketing objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Marketing:
•Collaborate with VP to define overall vision and strategy for marketing assigned releases that maximizes sales and aligns/supports strategic and fiscal goals.
•Lead/inspire the creation and execution of marketing plans in partnership with artist management representatives, label group, distribution and outside vendors. Successfully build and execute plan across all marketing functions including Christian retail, General Market retail, digital retailers, radio, online, PR, and International. Should meet all deadlines and fully execute marketing plan in all areas.
•Drive creation and direction of all retail merchandising elements, including product stickers, standees, flats, posters, etc including creative direction and copywriting.
•Prepare materials/visuals for artist / release presentations (Sales Conference, Trade Events, Album presentations, etc.)
•Ensure on-time delivery of product for the above channels by securing and coordinating label resources for artist roster.
•Collaborate with VP and A&R to create 18 month product plan for each key new release.
•Coordinate presence for artist roster at industry trade events (ICRS ,CMB, etc.)
•Support VP, Marketing in all areas related to artist roster including financial reports, sales analysis, meeting minutes, legal affairs, etc.
Administration:
•Manage M&P budget for each assigned release in partnership with Director, Product Marketing. This includes: Allocation of funds to each marketing department and distribution; continual maintenance of marketing budgets and monthly forecasting for all active projects.
•Manage assigned budgetary items and purchasing effectively and efficiently ensuring company assets are utilized prudently and in accordance with EMI policy.
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
Proficient in:
•Demonstrated ability to successfully write and develop marketing plans.
•Proven experience building and executing music marketing plans across social networks and digital music outlets.
•Demonstrated ability to develop strong professional relationships, including artist and artist managers.
•Proven Project/Budget Management Skills
•Ability to work well with others in a team environment
•Ability to thrive professionally within a fast-paced, creative, deadline-driven environment
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Education & Experience:
•4-year college degree preferred or equivalent experience. Marketing and music business a plus.
•2-3 years marketing experience (entertainment marketing a plus)
