Duplitech is a provider of services for physical and digital distribution of Film/TV content for home entertainment. Each month Duplitech prepares assets for DVD, Blu-ray and Digital for hundreds of titles.
We are currently seeking to add a new team member to our rapidly growing staff at our office in Torrance, CA. Your role as a Quality Control Tech is to ensure check discs and masters leave our facility with no issues.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Watching TV Episodes and Feature Length films for technical issues. These issues include items such as: Audio Drops, Digital Video Hits, Dropped Frames, Interlacing, and Subtitle Issues (timing/accuracy). Functional testing of Blu-ray and DVD to ensure they operate as expected. Testing of discs on multiple players to ensure the experience is the same using differnt Blu-ray player models. Verification of technical aspects of a file (Frame Rate, Resolution, Channel Layout, Format, Etc) Subtitle clean-up and editing
Skills and Experience:
Understanding of the film and TV industry. Knowing terms like Frame Rate, Interlaced or Progressive, HD vs SD, Aspect Ratio, Etc. Past experience in Video QC is a plus Detail oriented, organized and able to maintain attention for long periods. Basic understanding of video terminology Fluent english language skills and strong grammar is required Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus
Pay starts at $12/hr depending on experience. Average workweek is 25-30, but hours are always subject to availability of work at company. The position is considered Part Time, but full time options may become available.
