Classical music publisher and management company for several internationally recognized composers (Philip Glass, Nico Muhly, Tom Waits, etc) seeks interns for Summer 2017. This is an unpaid internship for college credit, if needed.
Candidates day-to-day activities will include:
- promotional outreach
- general copyright administration activities
- assisting management team with:
- social media maintenance
- tracking PR and social media
- content brainstorming for upcoming album releases
- creating spreadsheets, supervising phone lines, and maintaining an organized office space
- creating in-depth, weekly reports on all artists
Candidates should be interested in copyright administration, promotional outreach, research, and more generally, music management and music publishing. Candidates must be based in NYC, detail oriented and comfortable with Mac computers. Proficiency in Excel a plus. Undergraduate or graduate students preferred.
Candidates should expect to work 2-3 days per week (10-15 hrs, flexible). Our small, friendly work environment offers exposure to artist management, music publishing and recorded music. Start and end dates: mid May-mid August, flexible.
