Driver Digital creates multi-platform entertainment content for kids. Our original content reaches over 50 million viewers a month, making us a leader in the industry. We strive for creative excellence and cultural impact across our programming that reaches kids on mobile, tablet, computer and connect television. Located in Flatiron, our office is a fun, casual, environment. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working in digital production to join a fun company that is aiming to become a destination for all children's content on YouTube.
We are seeking a YouTube intern to work with our Production and Analytics team on projects related to the American Girl and Thomas the Tank Engine YouTube series we produce as well as projects for Driver's own YouTube channels, Cool School and Dream Mining. The position is unpaid, but we would be happy to provide school credit.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor, manage, and respond to all incoming comments on each channel
• Assist with channel uploads, annotations, and scheduling of content
• Assist with copywriting for video metadata and Fan Friday content
• Source on-brand content for social media channels (memes, GIFs, images, etc)
• Manage and monitor Pinterest profiles to ensure content is up-to-date
• Assist in creative brainstorms for editorial calendars, content ideas, and video editing
• Researching, brainstorming, and writing kids content, articles, trends for upcoming videos
• Helping out during our video shoots with lighting, camera equipment, talent, etc.
• Assisting the producers with any pre-production tasks as well as on set
• Support the department and senior executives with administrative tasks
• Learn more social media strategy and branded content
Qualifications:
• Has a general interest in the YouTube landscape and children's content
• Experience and passion for YouTube and social media
• Knowledgeable about social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc)
• YouTube savvy, and up to date with all the latest social media platforms
• Have a good sense of trends and a desire for ''what's next''
• Must be creative and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment with constantly changing deadlines
• Available at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school, or recent grad up to 6 months
