The Dramatists Guild Fund is the public charity arm of the Dramatists Guild of America. Its mission is to aid and nurture writers for the theater; to fund non-profit theaters producing contemporary American works; and to heighten awareness, appreciation, and support of theater across the country.
The Dramatists Guild Fund depends heavily on individual contributions from theater enthusiasts across the country in order to carry out its mission. Each year, DGF provides emergency grants to writers facing illness or other unforeseen circumstances, awards grants to non-profit theaters, reaches out to the public with educational programming, and creates writing development opportunities for dramatists at various stages in their career.
Fall 2016 Marketing Intern
· Works with the Marketing Director to create and curate online content as part of the Social Media strategy.
· Participates in meetings with the Marketing Committee, Press Representatives, and other marketing contacts.
· Collaborates with the team on marketing assets including but not limited to e-Newsletters and online communication, press releases, video content, printed materials and programs.
· Provides the Marketing Director with background information and/or supporting documents in preparation for scheduled appointments, meetings, speaking engagements, conferences, interviews, etc.
· Completes research assignments with exceptional detail and writing ability.
· Reviews and proofreads prepared documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as consistency with organizational policy. Reviews other prepared documents, such as marketing materials and donor mailings.
· Responds to and handles confidential and sensitive information with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
· Performs other duties as assigned and directed.
