Full Time Unpaid Internship
DR. PHIL SHOW INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
We are currently looking for highly motivated, creative, smart, and organized interns to assist with the production of our 13th season.
Research interns will have the opportunity see a show through from pre to post production while assisting one our 10 production teams here at Dr. Phil. Duties and responsibilities are to include but are not limited to the following:
Research, Logging tapes, Transcribing tapes, Assisting production teams in office & in studio, Assisting on field shoots, Perform office work and runs (photocopies, scanning, emails, etc.), Participate in giving creative ideas for developing new as well as current shows, Assist with overall production, and perform other administrative support duties.
Policies/Requirements:
All interns must be enrolled in school, hold a 2.5 GPA or higher and earn school credit, as the internship is UNPAID. Interns will be issued a Paramount ID and will be provided free parking. Students should be available at least 4 days per week - Monday through Wednesday is a must (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE THOSE DAYS).
Candidates for all internships should have a major in Telecommunications, Communication, Film/TV/Radio, Journalism, or a closely related major. It is ideal (but not required), to have experience working at your campus news paper or at your campus television station.
**Internships often lead to future employment at Dr. Phil if you possess and display strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, a tenacious attitude, and a desire to work in television with strong intentions to be promoted within your field.
Please be aware that ALL areas of the production adhere to strict confidentiality requirements and interns are required to sign confidentiality agreements.
Schedule:
Schedule will be worked out with each intern that corresponds to their area of specialty & school schedule, please be available at least 4 days a week (M-W required). Arrangements can be made in advance for finals & other schedule issues.
