Responsibilities:
- Perform ingest and quality control of all digital media for the Telestream Transcode Server.
- Perform quick-turn around for shows and segments when needed.
- Learn all Telestream Transcode Server media prep processes in the Ingest Department
- Create DVDs and BlueRay Discs.
- Troubleshoot basic problems and issues in the media prep workflow, following the escalation procedures.
- Troubleshoot basic problems and issues that arise with transcoding, exporting and delivery of video files.
- Learn and perform library functions as needed including but not limited to Labeling.
- Responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties in an office setting.
- Prepare media packages for upcoming shoots.
- Additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor(s).
Qualifications:
- Associates or 4-year degree in television or related field or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production, post production, broadcast, or communications environment.
- Prior experience in television on-air operations.
- Prior experience in Post-Production.
- Working knowledge of AvidMedia Composer.
- Knowledge of various media formats/VTRs (Digibeta, HDcam, XDcam), file types (QT, WMV, MXF, DNX, DV, etc) and video standards (NTSC, PAL).
- Candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills, be well organized and capable of handling multiple assignments.
- Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including overnights and weekends.
- A punctual, hardworking, disciplined, and dependable individual.
Desired Characteristics:
- Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV to be considered.
- Prior Experience with high volume media workflow.
- Prior experience working with servers.
- Working Knowledge of Reality Television workflow.
- Strong organizational Skills.
- Strong Problem Solving Skills.
- Ability to Multi-Task.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
- Self-starter.
