Sr. Leave Associate - Global HR Ops - (Ca Or Fl)
The Global HR Leave Administration position will provide support to all level of employees across the enterprise for inquiry services, leave of absence processes and policies, reviewing medical documentation, understanding medical terms, and the regulatory complexities. The scope of work includes processing leaves in multiple systems, proactive approach with employees and key stakeholders/partners on leave of absence policies and processes, administering the Family Medical Leave process, processing letters of communication, while maintaining an active caseload. Responsibilities will include answering phone calls, emails, researching and resolving questions with employees, clients and partners to ensure needs are met, and completing transactions in HR and time systems.
The successful Leave Administration Associate will demonstrate the ability to learn and retain the scope of responsibilities, manage conflict, partner, communicate professionally, be flexible, have strong attention to detail, and be able to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast paced environment.
This is a full-time statused role. Candidates should be available and willing to work during standard business hours, as well as weekends and evening shifts, as late as 8 PM. This position may sit in either Orlando or Southern California.
Responsibilities
This position will provide support to all level of employees across the enterprise for inquiry services, leave of absence processes and policies, reviewing medical documentation, understanding medical terms, and the regulatory complexities. The team is part of Global HR Operations supporting HR for the enterprise.
Leave Inquiries
• Answer phone calls
• Utilize Knowledge management tools to provide accurate information for employees across the enterprise
• Use case tool to address client inquiries and accurately record details of leave
• Research and resolve issues
Leaves of Absence
• Support employees going on leave of absence:
• Reviewing and process medical documentation
• Understand medical terms and regulatory requirements?
• Determine eligibility for federal and state leave protection and company policies
• Process leaves in SAP
• Track employee's time away from work in time system and administer required payments for employees
• Track and maintain timeline for follow up correspondence for employees.
• Strong understanding of Department of Labor guidelines and a variouse state payment programs.
Communication
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as telephone etiquette skills
• Communicating with all levels of leadership, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, HRBP, Health Services, and Medical providers.
Systems Knowledge
• Working knowledge of: Workbrain Time Recording, SAP, Document Management (DM) Hummingbird, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Access) and case management tools
Basic Qualifications
• Previous work experience in a call center, administrative medical field, or HR coordinator role
• Previous Disney experience
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills as well as telephone, email and skills
• Ability to multi task and priorities/handle competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Ability to understand case notes in order to provide excellent customer service and to identify when escalation is needed
• Ability to identify patterns that could indicate systemic issues
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse personalities
• Demonstrated ability to function in team environment
• Demonstrated strong ability to build relationship internally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to adjust to change in a positive, productive manner
• Ability to demonstrate awareness of and acknowledgment of segment differences

• Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including evening and weekends
• Demonstrated ability to review and understand medical documentation

Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Education
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
