The Freeform and Disney Channel Research teams are leading television brands targeting young adults and kids. Both teams connect data to viewing behavior; provide insights to build audience loyalty and engagement across platforms.
Responsibilities
A day in the life…
You will support digital analytics function for both Freeform and Disney Channel Research teams. You will assist in managing data-related logistics, compiling and analyzing various data and trending information, and to provide actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
• Manage data transfer and validation processes for automation and optimization initiative
• Ensure data accuracy; build trending reports for VOD and App viewing
• Identify pattern and analyze data from multiple sources
Basic Qualifications
What you bring to the role…
• Excellent SQL to handle large datasets
• Understanding of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, PIG, HIVE, etc.)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Pursuing a graduate degree in Data Analytics, computer science or related quantitative field
As well as...
• All candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All candidates must be at least 18 years old
• All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
• All candidates must be available from January to May
• All candidates must be willing to work up to 40 hours/week
• All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Tableau a plus
