Full Time Job
The Media Networks Strategic Sourcing & Procurement function has been established to support all of the Media Networks Sourcing & Procurement requirements and activities. In addition the team is responsible for supporting the segment's and business units' development and execution of category management strategies for Broadcast Technology and Services, Production Technology and Services, and Facilities and Construction Services and Support. The Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team provides commercial support and insights to the numerous stakeholders across the Segments' various businesses including; ABC Inc., ABC Studios, ABC Owned TV Group, Disney ABC Television Group, and ESPN. The team works collaboratively with other TWDC S&P verticals in the areas of Professional Services, Marketing, IT, and Supply Chain Management.
The Sourcing Specialist will be part of a team and accountable for supporting, partnering on, and contributing to sourcing initiatives that achieve value without compromising business strategy and performance. Additionally, the Specialist will be responsible for preparing spend analysis, conducting market research, and studying industry trends in support of developing sourcing initiatives. They will also be responsible for contract management with preferred suppliers across Broadcast, Production Services, and Facilities categories. They will also be relied on for analyzing the organization's performance on a periodical basis against set key performance indicators and consolidation of departmental reporting.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) utilizing Ariba eBuy tool
• Review and analyze RFP/RFI responses to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the project documentation
• Evaluate/select supplier based on pre-determined selection criteria
• Develop, implement and manage contractual agreements – work with Legal department to manage and assure all Corporate requirements are met and understood
• Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and best practices
• Continually assess market conditions and develop sourcing strategies that maximize value to the Company – primary focus on broadcast and cable entertainment industry trends and conditions that affect internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and/or pricing
• Evaluate total cost/supply analyses to identify opportunities to achieve optimal value
• Create value by generating hard savings, enabling cost avoidance, influencing productivity/efficiency and supporting quality
• Assist cross-functional sourcing projects and/or teams to meet internal stakeholder's requirements
• Conducts spend analysis, create vendor profiles, and various other research related tasks in order to find savings opportunities and support vendor negotiations.
• Partner with other SS&P teams (e.g., Procurement Operations, Procurement Services, other Sourcing teams) to support broader SS&P goals
• Assist in the development of Media Networks Annual Operating Plan
• Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices
• Fulfill individual and team administrative responsibilities
• Management of eSource catalogs that support Disney/ABC business units and eProcurement tools (Ariba, CMS, SAP, etc.)
• Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
• Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness and cost
• Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making
• Consolidate and prepare departmental reports
Basic Qualifications
• Requires 1-3 experience in sourcing and procurement and/or finance, accounting
• Ability to interact with and establish relationships with key stakeholders and specialists
• Strong analytical skills, experience with Microsoft Excel and advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookup, data analysis, etc.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations and present in a business case format.
• Must be able to multitask and work on several different projects at once
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment

• Ability/desire to work in diverse environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Internal or external business consulting experience highly desired
• Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing/Procurement or Supply Chain Management/Logistics processes and methodologies
• Experience with SAP, Ariba or other ERP
• Professional certification in I.S.M, Logistics, S.C.M. or similar
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering or business required.
Preferred Education
• Graduate degree in business or another quantitative or technical discipline preferred.
