Senior Manager - Creative (Disney Channels)
Partnership Marketing is an in-house creative group that promotes the franchises and Company priorities of Disney Channels Worldwide and The Walt Disney Company on Disney-owned media platforms. We create synergy content, image and product campaigns, branded content and ad sponsorships that run on Disney kids networks and digital media (Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior), on Disney.com, and at Disney Parks & Resorts. Internal clients include Disney Channels, ABC, Freeform, ESPN, Ad Sales, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Music Group, Disney Parks, Disney Corporate Franchise, Disney Consumer Products & Interactive Media, Disney Publishing, and Disney Theatrical Group. External clients include major brands in packaged goods, toys, licensed products, retail, automotive, sports leagues and more.
We're looking for a Senior Manager, Creative with a portfolio that focuses on a creative voice that's relatable to today's kids and families. S/he will team with the Creative Directors other staff Writer/Producers and external agencies to create innovative concepts, develop treatments and write scripts that build franchises and market products in new and entertaining ways.
The individual must have a proven track record in managing the innovative creative expression of leading brands. Additionally, he/she must demonstrate significant experience in managing the video-based creative process of a digital or television business and must be a self-starter, forward thinking and an effective, persuasive presenter and communicator across multiple departments, and senior management.
Responsibilities
• Create unexpected, creative ideas that support marketing objectives and help drive Disney franchises.
• Write fresh, humorous treatments and scripts for on-air campaigns, promos, live streaming events, music videos, integrated marketing and Ad Sales campaigns, and off-air videos.
• Serve as creative lead with production companies for on-location shoots.
• Utilize superior writing skills and present multiple concepts for each assignment.
• Have the ability to write in a creative voice that easily switches between brands and target audiences – from preschool kids and parents (Disney Junior) to tweens, teens and families (Disney Channel, Disney XD) to business-to-business audiences (off-air videos and presentations).
• Interface with executives throughout the creative process to set expectations, manage feedback, and provide creative solutions for revisions and challenges.
• Communicate constantly and diplomatically with executives, internal stakeholders, outside producers and the creative team to drive ideas through the creative development process.
• Comfortable directing live-action and voiceover talent.
Basic Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of writing experience in an on-air marketing & promotions department or ad agency.
• Understand all phases of pre-production, production and post-production.
• Superior writing skills and creative storytelling.
• Ability to, creatively problem-solve and collaborate in a highly matrixed organization.
• Comfortable in multi-task a very fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
• Experience in agency environment a plus.
• Online creative portfolio of on-air/online video, commercials, short-form content, etc.
• Superb attention to detail.
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Film/TV, or Advertising or equivalent combination of work experience
