We are searching for the next Manager, HR Business Partner for Disney | ABC Television Group. In this role, you will partner with leadership and management to create organization and talent plans that achieve business results and further strengthen the culture.
Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the client organization and the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization.
• Proactively assess business and organizational performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative, ''influence without authority'' approach.
• Develop and execute a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on forecasting, staffing, on-boarding, development, performance management, career / succession planning, talent movement and retention, leveraging workforce analytics and insights.
• Provide expert HR counseling, coaching and training and development in partnership with specialty HR areas (e.g., Organization Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning & Development)
• Initiate and drive the design and implementation of new or changed HR policies, processes, and programs in order to enhance the client's workforce performance along with the employee's workplace experience.
• Build and maintain long-term trusted client relationships with business unit executives and their teams
• Ensure managers and staff appropriately leverage selected HR technologies (e.g., SAP) to drive fact-based decision making for their respective client groups
• Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 years' experience progressively responsible experience as a professional HR generalist or related position; 2 years directly supporting senior level executives (VP & above)
• Experience and exposure to a variety of HR facets including employee relations, learning & development, talent acquisition and compensation
• Experience providing organizational design and leadership development support
• Experience working with senior executives in an ''influence-without-authority'' role.
• Experience providing HR support in a remote satellite office location desired
• Independent work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with entry level through executive level individuals successfully
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Strong organizational, motivational, communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and goals
• Strong team player and ability to function in a matrix co-leadership environment
• Excellent analytical skills & ability to interpret data and recommend multiple solutions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working in a large, corporate environment
Preferred Qualifications
• SAP experience and knowledge a plus
Required Education
• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Preferred Education
• MBA or Masters in Organizational Development, Leadership
