Disney/ABC Television's Digital Media group is looking for a creative, forward-thinking individual to join the Digital Content team in the role of Manager, Content Operations. This position calls for a motivated self-starter who is great with data – and is in their element with creative, strategic ideas sparked by metrics reports. This is a cross functional role that requires daily collaboration with a number of internal Digital and Linear ABC teams. This role leads a team of two. The goal of the Content Operations team is to maximize fan engagement on ABC digital properties. Diplomacy, perseverance, and vision are critical attributes for this position.

The show sites themselves turn hourly, daily on-air content into a 24/7 content-rich and fan-focused experience. The Manager, Content Operations role supports the development of the ABC digital programming strategy, taking cues from multiple stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Technology, Video, Research and more in order to serve fans with creative content that can easily exist on multiple digital platforms and is topical, cutting-edge and worthy of ''Sharing.'' Candidates should be excited to learn innovative ways of thinking about video, based on rigorous analysis of real-time data. Candidates should have experience in quantitative online video analytics or other digital analytics field.
Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Media Content this position is located in Burbank, CA.
Responsibilities
• Keeps a constant, keen eye on success metrics and market trends in digital media and course-corrects quickly and appropriately
• Ensures that all content on ABC digital platforms (mobile, tablet, OTT and web) service the fan, support the brand, and further the business unit's specific annual goals set forth by Senior Management
• Create innovative, data-driven studies to gain a deeper insight into video performance
• Initiates digital experiments and collaborates with internal teams from brainstorm to post mortem
• Is a self-starter and experiential digital product user who is always reviewing the competitive landscape
• Advocates for the use of SEO and ASO best practices on all DATG digital properties
• Is comfortable managing a team with a commitment to quality, innovation and continued learning and growth
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years experience in digital media, with a focus on Research, Content Strategy and Audience Development
• Experience with creating and curating video content
• Experience with content management systems
• Proven track record of handling high volume, concurrent requests from multiple stakeholders with successful outcomes
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience with Omniture or similar web metrics tools and analysis programs
• Experience building reports in Keynote or Powerpoint
• Extremely organized and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize requirements and make informed project/program tradeoffs
• Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Passion for and knowledge of ABC programming
• A love for solving problems using a highly quantitative approach
• Ability to communicate quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
• Knowledge of current trends and interest in future landscapes of both mobile and social platforms
• Experience using various documentation tools, including Excel and Keynote
• Certifications in YouTube and Google Analytics a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
