ABC Entertainment Marketing is responsible for the promotion and marketing of all ABC Television Network programming. We produce over fifteen thousand pieces of content per year in support of these programs. This entails everything from traditional 30 second television spots, short form theatrical pieces, mobile and web content to full thirty minute network specials.
The primary function of the Finishing Editor is to prepare quality content for various outlets of ABC Entertainment Marketing and their partners while working within the technical requirements for each medium.
As a Finishing Editor for the Disney ABC Television Group, you will be a member of one of the most creative and talented teams in the entertainment business and an important asset to the production department, in which you will report.
Responsibilities
Finishing Editor Requirements:
• Must be proficient on Adobe Premiere Pro CC
• Proficient color correction experience is required using the grading tools inside Premiere Pro
• Familiarity with Leader Scopes
• Understanding of importing, exporting and transcoding of QuickTime files
• Must have knowledge of technical HD broadcast standards and restrictions
• Must be aware of, and flexible in accommodating, an ever increasing diverse set of deliverable video content – including, but not limited to, UHD, HDR, P3, PQ and other current industry trends
• Must understand creative intent of spots and be able to enhance quality of final product
• Proactively look to improve overall finishing processes and adept in problem solving
• Must be detail oriented with an eye for continuity
• Able to communicate effectively with creative personnel
• Must be able to handle a constantly changing environment under tight deadlines
• Must be able to learn and grow with new technology
• Must have a flexible rotating schedule
• Must be able to work within a team environment
Additional Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Titling/versioning spots for all outlets
• Incorporating any and all design/graphic elements
• Troubleshooting technical anomalies
• Ensuring correct assembly of video and audio elements
• Communicating/coordinating with Design & Creative Teams
• Maintaining databases and archives
• Attend departmental meetings
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years practical experience on Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro in Post Production environment
• Working knowledge of Boris & Sapphire effects
• Proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve is preferred
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Must be proficient with various computer software, including PC & Mac environments
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred
