The Disney Media Networks create, distribute, and market premiere content for children of all ages through three distinct brands: Disney Junior, Disney XD, and Disney Channel. Each network produces content that delivers on a specific demographic:
-Disney Junior: Preschool.
-Disney XD: Kids 6-11 (boy focused, including Marvel/Lucasfilm properties).
-Disney Channel: Tweens (girl focused).
The Marketing & Creative teams drive growth for the three brands through highly-targeted, multi-platform campaigns using a three-pronged approach:
-Creative Development (Writers/Producers, and Graphics)
-Production
-Consumer Marketing
The team does this in partnership with: Current Series Development, Digital Strategy, Media Strategy, Social Media Marketing, Partnership Marketing (Synergy), Affiliate Marketing, Media Sales, Media Relations/PR, Franchise Management, Off-Air Design, Programming, and External agencies/vendors.
The Marketing & Creative departments must act nimbly in response to shifts in consumer behavior, constantly pushing the envelope through first-to-market opportunities.
Responsibilities
A Day in the Life...
The Marketing Intern will be uniquely positioned to work closely with teams from Disney Junior, Disney XD, and Disney Channel, gaining comprehensive experience across the Disney Media Networks portfolio.
Under the supervision of the Disney XD Marketing Coordinator, the intern will assist with content launches and will collaborate most closely with the Marketing teams, helping to develop and execute marketing campaigns with franchise elements. The intern will serve a vital role by bringing fresh perspective to the teams, constantly brainstorming and innovating, while providing day-to-day executional support.
As the team's intern, you may be working to:
-Brainstorm and present creative/tactical ideas for campaigns on a regular basis.
-Gather, analyze, and present metrics to back up creative recommendations, as needed.
-Serve as a competitive expert by staying up-to-date on industry trends while also contributing content for the Disney Channels Worldwide Competitive Newsletter.
-Create, design, and/or update one-sheets, project timelines, and presentation decks, as needed.
-Help coordinate Evergreen campaigns by writing/editing search ad copy, recommending asset strategy, and organizing all elements into trafficking grids for our external Media Agency.
-Facilitate creative production by trafficking assets to vendors/agencies, as needed.
-Initiate and monitor relevant work flow through Disney's internal tracking systems.
-Write agendas/recaps for team meetings.

Basic Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
-Prior experience working in an office environment.
-Strong desire to learn and grow in the marketing space.
-Working towards a degree in business, marketing, communication, arts or a related area.
-Solid understanding of social and digital media.
-Highly organized, with a cool head under pressure.
-Ability to juggle multiple priorities.
-Innovative and comfortable sharing ideas.
-Ability to analyze data/metrics to tease out insights.
-Comfortable diving in and trying new things.
-Passion for the Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney XD brands.
PLUS:
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
-All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the Fall season.
-All candidates must be available to possibly work up to 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
-Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
-Previous marketing internships.
-Deep understanding of the Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney XD brands.
-Comfortable weighing in on both analytical and creative elements.
-Sense of humor!
