Engaging in content management, content strategy, and content business development, the Product & Portfolio Management team is tasked with proactively managing Disney's portfolio/inventory on a global basis – primarily with respect to distribution, productions and acquisitions in international markets – and delivering continuous and accurate programming and rights information to international teams.
The Global Distribution Business Operations & Strategy Intern will assist, and learn in the process of assisting, the team members of the Product & Portfolio Management group while carrying out the responsibilities referred to below.
Responsibilities
A day in the life…
You will assist and support the Product & Portfolio Management team with proactively managing Disney's portfolio/inventory on a global basis including international regions. You will also learn about the global content distribution business.
Basic Qualifications
What you bring to the role…
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of, and demonstrated course work and/or work experience in, finance and/or accounting
• Basic understanding of, and demonstrated course work and/or work experience in, entertainment (film & TV)
Studies
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques
• Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
Basic Qualifications
• All students must be eligible to work in the US
• All students must be at least 18 years old
• You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
• All candidates must be available from September to December
• All candidates must be willing to work 20 hours/week
• All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship

• Previous internship or experience at a major or mini-major studio, Production Company, talent agency/management
company
