The Marketing & Creative team at Freeform develops marketing strategies and tactics to reach our millennial audience wherever they are. The group develops all Freeform marketing & creative development, paid advertising campaigns and manages the network's social media platforms. The team also manages premiums, event marketing, cause marketing, and partnership marketing initiatives to maximize the exposure for the network's priorities.
Responsibilities
A day in the life…
This Freeform Marketing internship will immerse the intern in the world of Marketing & Creative with a primary focus on social media and synergy. The intern will help manage select social media communities and will be responsible for helping with social media metrics, content creation and recap decks. The intern will help capture content at network events and set visits.
As our intern, you may:
-Manage select Freeform communities with supervision from the social team.
-Monitor Social Network conversations & communicate with fans on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.
-Track competitors and conduct online research into emerging social platforms.
-Help with weekly live tweeting.
-Pull social media metrics and help with campaign recaps.
-Participate in meetings & brainstorming sessions related to the development of Marketing & Creative.
-Assist with other department efforts.
Basic Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
-Strong knowledge of and interest in Freeform content.
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
-Proven skills utilizing & managing on Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumblr).
-Interest in advertising/marketing.
-Previous internship experience within a related field.
-Interest in television and entertainment.
-Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment; strong organizational skills.
PLUS:
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
-All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the Fall internship program.
-All candidates must be available to work 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
-Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate within six months of graduation.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
