Associate Manager, Marketing (ABC News)
ABC News is seeking a data-driven, creative, and resourceful Associate Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This individual will report to the Director of Marketing and Multiplatform Brand Strategy and will support the Marketing department in the planning and execution of multi-faceted marketing initiatives and campaigns across consumer, trade, B2B and corporate.
Responsibilities
• Work lockstep with department Director and Manager to develop and execute cross-platform marketing campaigns for broadcast and digital
• Manage project/campaign production calendars and ensure proactive communication and adherence to key deadlines and deliverables
• Traffic and distribute assets (footage, ads, logos, trailers, copy guides) to key partners
• Optimize and maintain planning tools and distribute custom planning tools company-wide
• Spearhead creative development of full digital ad suites including email blasts, display banners, etc.
• Foster strong relationships within ABC News and across the Disney ABC brand portfolio to ensure a constant flow of communication and to identify areas of opportunity
• Generate CID codes to track digital advertising performance, log reports and present insights
• Complete daily audits of on-air promotions and provide weekly reporting for management
• Lead and administer focus groups with live audiences and coordinate any special events
• Stay clued into Digital Originals content development calendar and report back to teams on marketing opportunities to drive KPIs
• Work closely with ABC News departments, including PR, Sales, Programming and Affiliate Marketing, to ensure accuracy and consistency of ABC News brand/product consumer messaging
• Build creative briefs, Affiliate and Partnership pitches, and marketing decks
• Provide light administrative support including scheduling meetings, organizing and maintaining files on team share drive, managing premium inventory, and coordinating light travel when necessary
• Responsible for day-to-day budget maintenance and timely invoicing, billing, and reconciliation
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years of relevant experience at an agency, media or entertainment company
• Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop and/or Illustrator) required
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and pays close attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability interact with internal & external clients; team player
• Solid MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Holds professional demeanor with excellent business etiquette
• Shows strong interest in media, digital/social space and avid user of digital streaming products
Preferred Qualifications
• Marketing background a plus
Required Education
• Bachelors degree from accredited college or equivalent work experience
