The Post Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of The Agency production team’s post flow. Including but not limited to overseeing Media Manager and all ingestion of raw materials, liaising with LA Agency Studio as well as Silver Spring designers, producers, and live action field teams on footage and asset delivery and finishing. The Post Supervisor will work on international projects and thus must have an understanding of a variety of workflows and formats for both digital and standard cable delivery. He or she will oversee gear inventory and work hand in glove with Sr. Editor and tech team to coordinate upgrades and new purchases. In this role he or she, will be the post production hub that handles all request, media managent, post staffing and budget consultation with HOP and project PM’s and producers on Agency projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain master edit and mix schedule for Agency production team
2. Vet, hire, and supervise DCTC-based Assistant Editors, including assignment and prioritizing all tasks
3. Manage schedule and workload for GT&O, staff, and freelance editors and mixers
4. Schedule and manage all final finishing for Agency projects, including audio mix, color correction, and 360 video fine stitching
5. Manage ingest, archive, and deletion of all Agency media
6. Track Agency post costs and billing (for reclasses and cost reporting)
7. Assist in managing tasks for GT&O Post Production Coordinator
8. Guide media ingest and archive workflows and general Post best practices
9. Vet Media Managers and DITs for field work
10. Seek out and vet freelance editors
11. Oversee specifications for media capture and delivery
12. Assist in management of all Agency camera and grip gear
13. Manage and inventory all Agency hard drives and RAID storage
14. Track and request appropriate media access permissions for editors and assistant editors
15. Administer Signiant File Transfer users and access
16. Enter footage duplication and digitizing orders
17. Oversee supply orders for Post and camera equipment needs
18. Liaise with LA design arm as well as outside vendors in NY, LA and global DCL partners and divisions
Requirements:
* At least 5-10 years of media management and post production support
* Must be a team player
* In depth knowledge of film/video design, animation, editorial, post production and live action
* Experience working with editorial workflow for tight turn short and long form projects
* Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment and able to work on multiple projects, in various stages of post simultaneously
* Ability to perform under pressure
* Integrity, strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
* Proficiency in Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro are required, and experience with industry standard media offload software, Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve preferred.
* Experience as set DIT a plus
* Understanding of 360 videos, editing, and stitching
* Understanding and interest in emerging platforms and new technology
* Must have the legal right to work in the US
