Full Time Job
Media Manager will report into the Post Production Supervisor for The Agency’s production team. They will be responsible for all aspects of media management and ingestion of footage as well as final delivery of finished content. This can include but not be limited to long and short form content and 360 videos. He/She will support editor and producer teams as needed for all aspects of footage gathering and sourcing of materials relating to media for current projects or archived material. He or She, will be responsible for the timely back-up, ingest, transcode, and archive of all Discovery Agency media for immediate edit needs. Must be a self-starter with a deep interest in technology and innovation. Able to work nontraditional hours and an interest of new and emerging platforms like 360 videos.
Responsibilities:
1. Short-term storage, and long-term archiving
2. This person will also track inventory of and manage use of all Discovery Agency hard drives
3. will assist editor(s) in sorting, stringing out, and preparing footage for edits
4. RAID storage, camera media
5. LTO library, and other physical media
6. In addition, the Media Manager, will assist teams in preparing completed sequences for finishing and final delivery.
7. Occasionally, this role will also be required to create, QC, and archive final deliverables including video exports, audio stems, XMLs, EDLs, and other files as required.
Requirements:
* At least 3-5 years of media management, editing or equivalent
* Must be a team player
* Basic knowledge of film/video design, animation, editorial, post production and live action
* Experience working with editorial workflow for tight turn projects
* Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment and able to work on multiple projects, in various stages of post simultaneously
* Ability to perform under pressure
* Integrity, strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
* Proficiency in Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro are required, and experience with industry standard media offload software, Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve preferred.
* Experience across multiple forms of content including both long and short form a plus
* Must have the legal right to work in the US
