Discovery Education Corporate Education Partnerships (CEP) is responsible for engaging external partners to develop and execute strategic school- and community-based programs with Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, non-profits, foundations, and government agencies, in concert with the goals and priorities of the Education Division and the company.
The Marketing & Data Analytics Specialist supports current marketing efforts for more than 40 CEP programs through multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, and on-air. The Specialist tracks, gathers, analyzes and reports on project performance and delivery, for a number of marketing and event deliverables.
Responsibilities
Cross-Program Marketing, Data Analysis and Reporting, and Marketing Events
a. Support digital operations and social media strategies for CEP programs
i. Set up metrics dashboards, data capture and reporting
ii. Plan and execute email marketing, internal ad operations and scheduling, and support CEP paid and organic social media strategy, implementation and analytics
iii. Gather and analyze data from multiple sources in order to develop client-ready presentations highlighting program reach, engagement and success metrics
iv. Research and determine paid media needs and options; work with Account Services to develop budget and plan
v. Develop and track marketing benchmarks across programs
vi. Manage and implement ongoing flighting of social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest and other platforms
b. Update and communicate monthly marketing calendar summarizing all scheduled internal and external outreach
c. Ad Operations Support:
i. Liaise with Account Services teams to support media planning and forecasting
ii. Enter new insertion orders in ad operations platform
iii. Coordinate with Ad Operation and Account Services teams on campaign updates
iv. Pull monthly delivery metrics, monitor delivery, and distribute report to stakeholders
d. Update divisional marketing and other related corporate teams on CEP programs through appropriate Discovery channels
i. Work with appropriate teams to promote timely content on discoveryeducation.com
2. Support the Marketing and Events Specialist with implementation of CEP Events, such as in-person winner assemblies, in-school community nights, conferences, and large-scale program-specific events
a. Obtain vendor and catering quotes and services
b. Help plan run-of-show schedules
c. Plan and deliver on signage, event materials
List Management, Sourcing and Email Outreach
3. Assist with design, development and deployment of emails through email marketing tool
4. Participate in review of all outbound emails to ensure consistent voice, engaging messaging and adherence to best practices
5. Report to Account Services team on targeted email performance (delivered, opens, clicks, etc.) and overall analysis of data to determine go-forward strategy
6. Communicate with list brokers to procure segmented lists for direct mail and email outreach based on specific criteria, and analyze program participation and engagement rates relative to sourced lists
Requirements
* BA/BS degree
* 3-4 years of experience in digital marketing, with experience working on digital marketing campaigns
* Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing tools, techniques, and social strategy
* Knowledge of client/campaign marketing strategy formulation and execution
* Experience with web and social analytics reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Simply Measured and the Salesforce Marketing Cloud
* Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize while supporting multiple stakeholders
* Self-starter, with ability to work with high degree of autonomy, while collaborating well in a team environment
* Solid attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience in or strong passion for education a plus
* Must have a legal right to work in the US
