Discovery Communications is looking for an experienced Cash Management Supervisor to join our GBS organization. The Cash Management Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team who processes high volume of cash payments and bank transactions for multiple countries across DLA and US. The position reports directly to the PTP Americas Lead and will work closely with Accounting, PTP and Treasury team to deliver operational excellence on the end-to-end cash management process, including reconciliations and the resolution of payment queries and book to cash discrepancies.

Responsibilities:
The Cash Management Supervisor is responsible for the accounting, reporting and analysis, and banking transactions, including Balance Sheet account reconciliations, payments and clearings, and certain aspects of the cash forecasting process for Europe. The Cash Management Supervisor will also help develop processes that maximize efficiency and accuracy of the cash management function and for processing payments timely, ensuring sufficient controls are in place and performed. This individual is a team player with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence.
1. Ensure bank statements are uploaded and entries posted / cleared daily for European entities
2. Ensure all payment files including payroll and urgent manual payments are correctly authorized and executed within required deadlines
3. Ensure inter-company payments are posted and cleared in the respective bank account
4. Reconcile all bank statements to the general ledger and resolve variances with the respective business entity and/or banking institution
5. Review and approve monthly bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations as needed to required deadlines
6. Provide support for all audit and SOX related requests from internal and external auditors
7. Ensure all processes performed by the team are fully documented and in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
8. Make improvements to policies and procedures to facilitate a more efficient and effective process
9. Maintain close working relationships with Treasury for payment authorizations, cash forecasts and improvements to banking systems
10. Prepare dashboard reporting, evaluate operational / customer metrics, and suggest improvements and best practices to optimize efficiency and achieve departmental goals
11. Prepare management reporting and analysis as requested
12. Forecast, monitor and track cash outflow / spend
13. Support SAP system changes, improvements and new company codes created with testing as required and support new business projects, acquisitions and integrations where needed
Requirements:
* Previous experience in Finance and/or Cash Management role
* Previous cash forecasting experience highly preferred, including the ability to analyse cash flow and the impact on the financial statements
* Finance qualified/part qualified
* Experience with financial applications including Microsoft Office and SAP ERP
* In depth experience of electronic banking systems/platforms and good understanding of various payment types and methods
* Experience of multi-currency payments and E-banking
* Experience in leading and managing a team
* Project management experience preferable
* Strong communication, planning, organizational, decision making, analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to teamwork through relationship building, reliability and collaboration
* Accuracy and attention to details is essential
* Must have the legal right to work in the US
