Full Time Job
This position is responsible for supporting the Discovery Channel network public relations team by providing video and other media elements at the highest quality and in a timely manner. With the overall goal of increasing brand awareness and driving network viewership, he or she will screen all programming to identify and properly package short-form video materials to support press initiatives both on-air and online.
Responsibilities:
1. Review network programming for assigned brand/s to identify and edit short-form video clips for broadcast and digital press placements
2. Work with internal and external production stakeholders to ensure proper timing and quality of video delivery
3. Collaborate with internal marketing department to streamline appropriate graphics for the press team
4. When assigned, produce and edit original short-form videos for network promotion
5. Collaborate across multiple internal teams including digital media, syndication, marketing, business & legal affairs, etc.
6. Compile and edit video materials for network awards submissions
7. Manage web-based file transfer/video platform accounts such as YouTube, Vimeo, WeTransfer, FTP, Box, etc.
8. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in related field
* 1-2 Minimum years’ experience in entertainment / video production
* Experience with non-linear video editing systems such as Adobe Premiere Pro
* Experience with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop a plus
* Strong understanding of video codecs and file formats
* Ability to multi-task while prioritizing heavy workloads
* Must be extremely detail oriented
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
