Customer Account Manager - Education Partnerships
We are passionate about and committed to enhancing the way teachers teach and students learn; adding meaning and relevance to the school curriculum, and helping teachers and students to reach their potential and we are always looking for talented people to join us.
We are seeking an Account Manager who will be responsible for the renewal, retention and growth of a base of Discovery Education online subscription accounts, ensuring contracts are executed prior to customer expiration. In addition to this, you will provide account management for existing subscriber’s online subscriptions to Discovery Education products and services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a subscription business preferable but dealing with Account managing and renewing customer orders. They will need to understand all Discovery Education's online products and professional development offerings in order to provide customers with guidance and motivation for renewing their subscription. Strong telephone and customer engagement is what we are looking for.
Responsibilities:
Renewal responsibilities
Achieve assigned personal and team targets Work with finance to establish shared goals and priorities
Coordinate internally to prioritise customer issues that may impact renewals
Provide general inbound customer support
Deliver high-level presentations to show schools updates to the services
Employ a consultative approach to build, maintain & strengthen relationships with key
decision makers Demonstrate proactive territory management Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organisational,
follow-up, and consultative approach Maintain high level of customer service at all times
Keep in touch with customer throughout their contract and engage with them when you see low usage etc and offer support as appropriate
Requirements:
Product / Industry Knowledge Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and be solution driven Effectively articulate Discovery Education’s strategic vision and capacity to support transformation Maintain thorough understanding of industry trends, current events, emerging technologies, etc.

Hours are 8am to 4:30pm (these times are fixed)
Qualifications
and personal qualities
Minimum of 3 years telephone and/or sales experience with a proven track record of territory management, consultative sales and/or exceptional relationship building.
Proven track record of effective strategic thinking and ability to prioritise workload Proactively seek direction/guidance from management when expectations need clarification
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate a consultative “problem solving oriented” approach Ability to work independently as well as with team members
Strong sense of personal initiative and urgency to accomplish tasks and find solutions Expertise in industry trends and research
High level of emotional intelligence and be able to empathise with the various challenges our partners in school face
Ability to learn about our array of offerings in a timely manner.

Represent the company at partnership meetings with the highest professionalism
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years Account Management/Customer Relations or Inside Sales experience via telephone only required
• Excellent problem-solving, partnering and strong interpersonal skills communication skills
• Candidate must be flexible and be able to handle changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to work well with little direct supervision
• Applicant must have excellent organisational and time management skills, be proactive in identifying, prioritizing, and managing important issues and be attentive to detail
