Ingest Operator - Middle East assignment
Deluxe Media leads the advertising and entertainment industries with innovative supply chain solutions that help market, enrich, and enable media distribution to all platforms and all consumers throughout the world. Deluxe Media is a global company with presence in 6 countries. Our clients include the major Hollywood studios as well as a growing number of on-line retailers.
We currently have an opening for an Ingest Operator. This opportunity is for an assignment in the Middle East.
Primary Responsibilities
• Individual will sync and edit audio and video.
• Will be in charge of ingesting files, creating clones, and masters.
• Follow production schedules to meet daily delivery demands.
• Obtain and verify conformance of customer supplied master assets for work orders.
• Verify video/audio master technical integrity prior to start of production.
• Operate and monitor multiple recording and re-purposing processes.
• Edit and modify product and customer master assets per specified instruction.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• Must possess a working knowledge of Final Cut and Avid editing systems, Omneon systems, Film, NTSC and PAL video formats, file types and resolutions, file rendering, and video frame rates.
• Must possess knowledge of Metadata and XML.
• Understand conversion for SD and HD.
• Must be well-versed with various broadcast standards, VTRs, standards conversion, and compression processes. Comprehension of inverse telecine and 3/2 film cadence theory.
• Experience in HD and SD tape operation required.
• Experience in video editing.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Must possess a high level of written, verbal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Must have demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize and be extremely detail-oriented.
• Individual must be able to follow instructions and handle multiple projects in a busy production environment.
• Willing to work day, night, or weekend shift as needed.
