Encore is an Emmy award winning VFX house, providing outstanding visual effects work for television and motion pictures. Some of our past or current projects include Homeland, Under the Dome, Ray Donovan, Banshee, Tomorrow People, House MD, Hawaii Five-O, Weeds, Revenge, Castle, Pan Am, NCIS. Encore provides post production services to top television series and is owned by Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. Deluxe is the leading provider of a broad range of entertainment industry services and technologies to major Hollywood Studios and an international client base.
We currently have an opening for VFX Render Wrangler for our office based in Hollywood, CA
Required Skills:
• Excels as a team player and strives to maximize team/department performance.

• High degree of computer literacy.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve.
• Experience in scripting is desirable.
• Strong customer service ethic and natural problem solving abilities.
• Experience in data, asset and render farm management.
• Independent problem-solving, organizational, and managing abilities.
• Understanding of VFX production and experience configuring, deploying and maintaining typical applications used in this space (3DSMax, Maya, Nuke).
• Ability to learn new software quickly, and learn on the job, if necessary.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to record information accurately and produce reports.
• Respect for the procedures and requirements of the production or pipeline.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical production staff.
• Capacity to take responsibility and ability to manage and prioritize their time and workload.
• Be able to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Multi-platform Linux/Mac/Windows experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the rendering of all shots in a production.
• Manage shot file structure.
• Provide render technical support.
• Identify, report, and find solutions to technical rendering and composition errors.
• Interact with facility Production and IT Support department staff.
• Works closely with all other departments to keep the production on schedule.
• Identifies potential issues and participates in problem solving/tool building activities.
• Mentors and trains others in areas of expertise.
• Maintains an excellent understanding of the tools and software used in the post-production of VFX.
• Monitor infrastructure servers and escalate problems.
• Handle studio help desk calls after hours and on weekends.
