We currently have an opening for a Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
Position Overview
The Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis would function as a key member of the Media Services finance team with responsibilities encompassing both finance and accounting across a worldwide line of business. This position offers the opportunity to work with the leaders of the various functional areas within the line of business and supports financial management of the monthly close, preparing business assessment and analysis for executive management, and interacting directly with operations heads around the world. We are looking for someone with the analytical rigor and strategic thinking to help move our business forward.
Primary Responsibilities
• Planning and reporting business results monthly.
• Budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Perform financial analysis to influence business decisions and provide recommendations to senior management on projects that affect the organization.
• Proactively identifying issues and offering solution-oriented recommendations to influence key decisions.
• Create key financial and performance metrics and deliver monthly results.
• Assist in month end variance analysis and accounting close process including AR and AP reporting.
• Along with a myriad of ad hoc projects ranging in scope from M&A to systems integration and work flow optimization.
• Will report to Vice President of Finance and work closely with five finance team members and a six person accounting staff.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• Undergraduate (BS/BA) degree in finance, business administration or accounting.
• Will have 3 to 5 years financial planning experience with a large Fortune 500 or equivalent.
• Must be able to work independently, and as part of a team, in a fast paced environment.
• Possess solid understanding of finance principles and practices and ensure that effective controls are in place to comply with all Company financial policies and guidelines.
• Must be able to think strategically with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and accountability.
• Experience with SAP Accounting module, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, and Business Objects.
