We currently have an opening for an SVP, Worldwide Sales & Business Development. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
Position Overview
The SVP, Worldwide Sales & Business Development will lead a team that is responsible for global sales strategy and planning for Deluxe Media. Deluxe Media is made up of five business units (Creative, Localization, Media Production, Media Management, and European Operations). Each business unit has their own dedicated sales team. Alongside the head of each business unit, the SVP, Sales will co-lead each individual sales team to drive sales opportunities and achieve revenue objectives.
This position requires an individual who can engage at the highest levels of an organization both externally and internally, as well as ''in the trenches''. Our ideal candidate is an inspiring leader, has outstanding communication skills, superior follow through skills, can build consensus among disparate groups, and understands Deluxe's technologies, formats, and workflows. This position requires an experienced perspective that can creatively find opportunities to add value to the industry, effectively navigate sales and negotiations, and advise senior business and customer leaders.
Primary Responsibilities
• Establish and lead overall visions and strategy for global sales effort throughout Deluxe Media.
• Lead overall revenue target achievement for division.
• Develop sales strategies and tactics across all business units and ensure successful implementation.
• Lead identification, pursuit, and closure of larger sales opportunities and initiatives.
• Oversee and guide day-to-day management of sales tools, CRM, forecasts, proposals/RFPs, and sales collateral.
• Closely work with multiple business units to identify, cross-sell, and close opportunities.
• Interface with Deluxe corporate enterprise sales team to support cross-divisional initiatives.
• Hire, lead, manage and inspire sales teams, including individuals with varying experience levels and in different geographic locations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• 10 years of experience leading a sales organization within a cross-functional technology and/or creative environment.
• Proven success in building, mentoring, and leading effective sales teams.
• Exemplary networking and customer relationship management experience with all levels of management.
• Model and mentor team to identify, pursue, secure and nurture new sales opportunities; create a culture of ''hunters'' vs. ''gatherers''.
• Ability to translate vision into action and to successfully steer others (internal and external) toward an agreed-upon outcome.
• Outstanding ability to build strong lasting partnerships and foster teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Independent, energetic, driven, motivated, hard-worker.
