Full Time Job
Deluxe Media - Moosic, PA is seeking a Quality Control Technician, 2nd shift, 4:30PM - 1AM, M-F.
Starting rate $12.00/hour plus shift differential
Med/Dent/Vis/Life available, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, sick time.
Major Job Duties / Responsibilities:
• Visual quality assurance testing of compressed video material.
• Audible quality assurance testing of encoded audio material.
• Visual quality assurance testing of subtitle (text) streams.
• Menu navigation and functionality testing of DVD-Video and DVD-Audio software.
• DVD-Video and DVD-Audio player compatibility testing.
• Master audio, video and subtitle quality assurance testing.
• DVD-Video and DVD-Audio chapter time selection and testing.
• Individual must be able to assure quality, logic, and functionality of DVD-Video and DVD-Audio software. Duties require accurate, methodical approach to testing as well as a very focused and detailed attention to audio, video and subtitle impairments and artifacts.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required
• Associate degree in computer science or programming, electronics or A/V technology related field (or equivalent experience).
• Individual must possess a fundamental understanding of digital audio, digital video, multimedia and consumer electronic devices.
• Individual must be detail-oriented and focused.
• Basic computer skills (PC) are required (e.g. copying files to various media, etc.)
• Recommended (not required) 1-2 years experience in audio and/or video post-production environment.
• Position is audibly and visually demanding as a significant amount of the job responsibilities include intensive testing for minor audio and video impairments and artifacts
• Individual will work in a multimedia production environment requiring little to no physical labor.
