We currently have an opening for a Post Production Coordinator. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for coordinating and trafficking all post-production projects and assets.
• Ingesting files, rendering and transcoding multiple file formats.
• Communicate and troubleshoot technical project issues.
• Editing, offline and online, creating localized digital master files.
• Develop production breakdowns with all content Producers.
• Create and maintain edit bay and session schedule.
• Performing quality control on digital files and tape masters.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operation of all edit bays.
• Maintain stock of all post production supplies.
• Manage with Editor(s) and Assistant Editor(s) as needed on project prep and delivery, including:
o Prep bins and projects, digitize/import source assets.
o Onlining projects.
o Facilitating project delivery and archiving.
o Manage all freelance editors.
• Manage Creative Audio Engineer:
o Facilitating project delivery and archiving.
• Manage all production reports:
o QC Reports.
o Production reports/Time Tracker for accounting.
o Ingest requests.
o Facilitating project delivery and archiving.
o Stock requests.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Assistant Editor, Editor, or Post Coordinator at a Blu-ray creative house or equivalent position at a major studio.
• Experience with non-linear workstation, Final Cut Studio, Adobe, and Pro Tools.
• Mac and PC knowledge is required.
• Knowledge in NTSC, PAL, and HD audio/video formats, file types and resolutions, file rendering, and video frame rates.
• Must have an advanced understanding of HD and SD post procedures, tech specs, etc.
• Understand conversion for SD and HD.
• Knowledge in file types, frame rates, and transcodes.
• Follow instructions and handle multiple projects in busy production environment.
• Proven ability to work quickly and independently, anticipating, recognizing, and resolving problems with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the ability to make decisions independently.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and contribute to the team environment.
• Must have demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize and be extremely detail-oriented.
• Able to follow instructions and handle multiple projects in busy production environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
