We currently have an opening for a Lead Quality Control Operator. This position will be located in Hollywood, California.
Description of Duties:
As a Lead QC Operator, the individual will be responsible for ensuring that EFILM's quality standards are met and maintained throughout the digital intermediate process through numerous internal reviews and related reporting. The Lead QC Operator is responsible for generating and distributing internal QC reports on all applicable material to the required departments. He/she will be expected to communicate and track QC related issues between departments ensuring all are addressed appropriately throughout the entire pipeline.
The Lead QC Operator will be involved in the review of digital scans, frame repairs, and renders along with data transfers/management within the department primarily using FTP software. Additionally, the job will involve the review of prints, digital cinema and/or video deliverables. The QC Operator will also be responsible for dust busting, training, and department workflow organization and planning and other departmental duties as assigned.
Description of Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, is a quick learner, has a strong work ethic, pays close attention to detail, and is able to work independently while following instructions. He/she must be able to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment and maintain a consistent focus and effort throughout the entire QC process while working mostly in a dark environment.
The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, a flexible schedule (overtime, weekends, and nights as needed), computer proficiency including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
Knowledge of the post-production and digital intermediate process, along with prior experience in digital film cleaning is required. A qualified candidate must have sufficient experience to recognize, diagnose and investigate QC related issues. Additional digital paint experience in is a plus.
