We currently have an opening for a Director, Accounting SAP. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
Summary:
Provide functional and technical leadership for our SAP team. Offer SAP product knowledge and your expertise in architecting SAP custom solutions (processes, integration, data migration, and custom development) and lead business process and design discussions.
Contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices. As part of your delivery responsibilities you will participate as a technical expert and SME. This position requires you to design, develop, and articulate solutions based on the business or technical requirements. Lead problem solving, implementation and rollout projects with responsibility for the delivery of the process designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans.
Work closely with the business stakeholders, executive management and the PMO team. The job will require you to create status reports and accurately track/manage support and project issues and risks.
Responsibilities:
• Design and document processes and solutions.
• Define and promote enterprise architecture standards and strategies.
• Design and apply enterprise system and application solutions to meet business objectives.
• Support executive management and project teams in process decisions and implementation and strategy.
• SME in the core modules of SAP ECC 6.0.
• Give high level and detailed functional and technical presentations/demonstrations of SAP implementation projects.
• Directs the planning, budgeting, and operations of the SAP Group.
• Coordinates project initiation, prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Provides functional and technical leadership for SAP systems.
• Serves as a resource to departments regarding information technology needs.
• Advises and consults with other departments on production software issues, concerns, problems, and questions.
• Provides oversight and serves as an interface to executive management for large, corporate-wide administrative system upgrades.
• Evaluates programming techniques and training needs then selects and implements training as required.
• Maintains compliance and governance for corporate applications with clients and third party vendors.
• Primary job functions require exercising some independent judgment.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Responsible for supporting and maintaining user licensing, account information including rights, security and systems groups.
• Serve as accountable ''owner'' of project, bringing it in on-time and on-budget, escalating issues for resolution and following established PMO procedures.
• Develop and maintain project plans.
• Monitor project implementation on a day to day basis.
• Work with managers and others to identify and schedule needed resources.
• Produce periodic project reports for management, commensurate with complexity of the project.
• Keep Project stakeholders informed, developing a keen sense of the level of detail needed for the specific project and stakeholders.
• Develop, disseminate, and implement a project communication plan which ensures all appropriate individuals are kept up to date on progress, issues, etc.
• Oversee development of all deliverables, and serve as final QC prior to presentation to completion.
• Secure and document approvals as needed throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Prepare, finalize, and implement all needed training, documentation, and Operations transition materials.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Must have working knowledge of core SAP ECC 6.0 modules (FICO all sub modules including NEW GL, MM, SD, Security) and also integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
• PMI Certification/training a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required, Master's Degree preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master's Degree or CPA preferred.
• Possession of broad understanding of company business issues and their integration with broad and complex information systems applications.
• Experience in diverse systems and application design in large enterprise environments.
• 10-12 years of SAP experience and demonstrated excellence in designing and implementing at least 4-5 SAP implementation cycles and rollout and upgrade projects.
• Desired experience in the software and media industry.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high-quality deliverables (documentation, presentations, research, etc.). Self-motivated, self-supervised and solution driven.
• Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Open and willing to learn new technologies to provide solutions when required.
