Deluxe Media is a global company with presence in 9 countries. Our clients include the major Hollywood studios as well as a growing number of on-line retailers.
We currently have an opening for a temp Technical Operations Technician. This position will be located in Los Angeles, CA.
Primary Responsibilities
• Ensure all media is ingested to digital specifications for distribution.
• Ensure timely review and ingest of digital media to support business SLA.
• Demonstrate continued development and proficiency on key production systems through training programs and hands-on experience.
• Ensure all media meets Quality Control standards for broadcast distribution.
• Demonstrate understanding of Closed Caption broadcast standards.
• Demonstrate understanding of Video and Audio broadcast standards.
• Communicate issues and escalate as applicable to upper management.
• Follow defined SOP for technical issue resolution.
• Maintain working dialogue with Customer Service team for issue and workload priority.
• Coordinate with Engineering on issues requiring escalation for technical resolution.
• External communication for the TO will be limited to escalations from the SO group and should be with Broadcast stations only.
• Routine communication with broadcasters for troubleshooting server issues and media issues is expected.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• BA/BS preferred - College degree not required, but post HS education is a plus.
• Minimum of three years operational experience in a similar A/V technical industry.
• Background in television and radio advertising spot distribution, or related industry.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills: empathy, expediency, follow-up, value added service.
• Must have a strong knowledge of digital spot distribution, video tape distribution and duplication, media upload, media and broadcast formats.
• Ability to withstand heavy workload and remain calm under pressure associated with time sensitive deadlines.
• Understand and flex to changing priorities and processes.
• Details oriented, yet understand the big picture, with a focus on fast, accurate, and thorough resolution of issues.
• Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
• Work well with extended teams and all levels of Javelin operational organization.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of production A/V digital media applications, strong computer skills, adept at working on multiple software and hardware platforms simultaneously.
• Flexibility with schedule and hours.
