EXPO STUDIO LOCATION SENIOR MANAGER OF STUDIO OPERATIONS
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees all aspects of Studio Operations, responsible for running the day-to-day plant-specific needs for the Studio, ensuring minimal interruption to the creative business while maximizing efficient workflows and open communication with all Departments.
Provides Studio-level local administrative oversight to Operational staff, including General Operations, Facilities, Health & Safety, Operations Support/Reception & Vault/Camera/Logistics.
Interface in a collaborative role locally & globally with Executive Management, Finance/Accounting, Client Services, Payroll, Production, Engineering, Technical Operations, Software/Pipeline, IT, Human Resources, Legal, and Security to bridge communications,
gain uniform efficiencies & seek collective results.
Principal Responsibilities:
Support Managing Director(s) (MDs) to ensure Studio stays on target creatively, financially, technically and culturally with team unification.
Support MD(s) to ensure all cost monitoring, controlling & cutting measures are followed to maintain fiscally responsible Studio Operation while not compromising the Client experience or creative output.
Anticipate and/or recognize inefficiencies and proactively architect, deploy, maintain & police new workflows / procedures / policies to remedy. Define responsibilities of personnel, departments, set policies & ensure accountability.
Create (where necessary), implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of Operations including, but not limited to, Security (in collaboration with Security team), Parking, Meal Allowances, Escalation Reporting, Payroll, Purchases,
Reconciliation and Archiving.
Support the Department leads to ensure Studio resources and/or workflows are developed and utilized effectively & efficiently as Operational, Production and/or Client requirements change.
Facilitate the resolution of issues that arise during daily business operations regarding processes, staff and resources. Includes planning, budgeting, mediation and conflict resolution.
Draft and publish outgoing email and/or verbal messaging for Studio communications.
Exhibit strong leadership and decision-making skills while maintaining a congenial disposition, excellent staff relations and a healthy work environment for all employees.
Schedule and oversee regular Operational meetings for studio support departments. . Participate in Color, VFX, Finishing Supervisor and/or Artist meetings and Management meetings as required.
Encourage and mentor the growth of staff and other entry level personnel within studio support roles for career development, cultural sustainability, increased retention and cost efficiencies.
Has direct report into the local Studio Managing Director(s) division Operational Lead(s) and/or division President, maintains regular communication with MD(s) and Operational positions at other Co3/Method locations across the globe as needed.
REQUIREMENTS / BACKGROUND
5+ years employment within the Post Production industry with
2+ years of senior Production experience
2+ years of senior Operational experience
