We currently have an opening for a SVP, Global Operations, Method Studios reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Deluxe Creative Services. This position will be located in Santa Monica, CA.
SUMMARY:
The SVP, Global Operations of Method Studios will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for Method Studios working closely with the Senior Management team of the Deluxe Creative Services division to achieve business goals across each of the Method Studios locations globally. In addition, this person will lead Method Studio's Senior Management team currently comprised of the Chief Creative Officer and the EVP of Method Global Production.
They will participate in the formulation of the company's business strategy and will oversee the effective execution of that strategy, including securing client satisfaction and building a high performing team. They will be responsible for the company's day-to-day operating activities, including capacity management, expense, cost and margin control, and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management. They will play a critical role in the current and future success of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide a strategic vision and business strategy for the company that encourages innovation to capitalize on future market opportunities, working with senior management of Method Studios, Deluxe Creative Services Management as well as overall Deluxe Management.
• Create and implement strategies for both short and long term success of all Method Studios locations worldwide.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning and introduction of new programs and strategies.
• Refine and implement organizational structure at all Method Studios locations within the Creative Services organization.
• Create and enforce standard operating procedures and unify workflows for all departments worldwide to allow for continual improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of all the teams.
• Identify opportunities to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges, including use of Deluxe shared services.
• Use company systems to monitor the business and enhance (and/or develop), implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve the overall operation, effectiveness and security of the company.
• Direct and manage teams and technical resources to meet client commitments as well as meet budget and other financial goals in line with business strategy. Effectively communicate key planning challenges for the company.
• Oversee fiscal budgets and conduct financial analysis for both short term and long range financial planning, working with the Finance leadership of Deluxe Creative Services.
• Enable a culture that retains best talent. Identify, negotiate and hire key new talent across the globe for all Method Studios locations.
• Act as ambassador for Method Studios at conferences and sales meetings.
• Collaborate with the team to mitigate issues. Direct, manage and effectively communicate key resolutions to issues that occur in alignment with company goals.
• Collaborate with other Deluxe Creative Services business units such as Company 3, Beast and, Encore as well as other Deluxe business, such as Stereo D, to achieve goals for the overall benefit of Deluxe.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree preferred; MBA or similar advance degree a plus.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in an executive management role
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience within the VFX/Post Production industry required.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
• Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
• Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
• Demonstrates strong leadership ability, planning and organizational skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Experience in handling strategic alliances.
• Ability to build, motivate and inspire highly effective teams to deliver beyond their mandated goals.
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization and to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture solid relationships.
• Must be able to travel locally and internationally as needed.
