We currently have an opening for a Quality Analyst. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
Position Overview
This position plays a critical role in improving the quality of subtitling through new and creative solutions. The role will ensure new policies, procedures and metrics are implemented in the various subtitling production departments. The role requires experience
in working in a cross functional environment and driving change and innovation culture effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
• Offer advice and suggestions on workflow, policies, and procedures. Maintain an acute awareness of changing business needs within the industry.
• Working on subtitling files to know the process and help the teams in critical situations.
• Perform detailed analysis of quality issues and user requests. Investigate the causes of problems and identify potential solutions. Respond to questions, requests for information and assistance from users, customers, other departments and management.
• Conduct follow-up inquiries, meetings, etc. to solicit feedback from users and management in order to gauge the success and acceptance of new workflows. Prepare manuals and training materials and conduct training.
• Work with technical staff to create software development proposals that will improve quality. As directed, work with technical staff to determine a system design and processing approach that satisfies the users' requests for services while also providing
processing that is logically and efficiently designed and coded.
• As directed, facilitate group meetings to ensure that new solutions/procedures fairly represent the interests of the individual areas while also taking into consideration client needs as well as company policies, industry rules and regulations, etc.
• Perform daily audit of redeliveries and general quality issues.
• Maintain a standard method for documentation on all projects and project requests.
• Act as a liaison between various production groups both within subtitling and between subtitling and other departments at Deluxe.
• Create quality metric reports for individual clients as well as for internal review.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• BA degree (or equivalent training) is required.
• Should have 2 to 3 Years of experience in quality and process improvement preferably in media industry.
• Knows how to obtain and use data, and comfortable with statistical concepts.
• Exposure to any quality certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience in designing and documenting processes and procedures.
• Six Sigma Certification preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Individual should have strong analytical, problem solving, people management and influencing skills.
• Excellent command on MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio. Exposure to Excel VBA is preferred.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet deadlines.
