JOB PURPOSE:
A QC Operator is responsible for the Quality Control of Digital Cinema Packages. His/her primary objective is to ensure that Deluxe Technicolor Digital Cinema DCPs comply Digital Cinema specifications and Deluxe Technicolor's requirements. This includes understanding
of mastering methods, source material and delivery methods. Operators will engage in technical screenings of DCPs-ensuring image, audio, other track files and metadata specifications. This includes various technical procedures such as setting up the projection
environment and data transfer. The operator must produce clear, concise and accurate documentation of issues pertinent to the project. Also, QC operators must work well within a team environment and understand the sensitivities of working with studio clientele.
DUTIES:
Ensure quality standards are met for DCP's (across all categories including features, trailers, shorts, PSAs, advertisements, et all)
Maintain accurate records of all pertinent information using proprietary database
Perform technical screenings, both internally and with client
Operate various technologies & equipment (including projectors, servers, storage area networks, various operating systems, et all)
Comply with security protocol
Requirements
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be computer literate. (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
Outstanding etiquette
Ability to work in High Pressure situations (Deadlines/High Profile etc.)
Client facing skills
EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in Post Production environment is preferred
Experience in Quality Control is preferred
Multi-lingual abilities are a plus
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University or equivalent professional experience preferred
