JOB PURPOSE:
The Operations Manager for Digital Cinema operations ensures compliance to security protocols, that any issue in the Mastering Department is dealt with in a prompt manner in order to ensure continuous flow of production operations and that deadlines are met.
Supervision of staff, troubleshooting and any task requested by immediate supervisor will be required.
DUTIES:
• Enforce procedures and assist in workflow implementations
• Learn workflows in all DTDC departments to effectively communicate and trouble shoot issues
• Maintain accuracy of procedural documentation
o Update and add wiki documentation with procedural changes
o Follow through with disseminating procedural information with Operations staff
• Responsible for setting Team environment & facilitating communication across departments
• Address or escalate any issue that might hinder production
o Troubleshoot any issue to the best of your ability to prevent hindrance in production
o Follow through the Escalation Procedure to escalate any issue to the proper department
• Ensure security protocol
• Maintain efficiency and seek efficiency opportunities
o Help complete and/or supervisor the completion of any nonstandard workflows
o Help complete and/or supervisor the completion of difficult and/or time sensitive projects
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in High Pressure situations (Deadlines/High Profile client interaction…)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate leadership ability
• Knowledge of Digital Cinema workflows and standards
• Experience with Database layout and functions
• Provide internal technical support and respond to business regarding technical questions, provide critical thinking to solve and prevent problems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites specifically in Outlook and Excel
• Basic Knowledge of XML or HTML is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Digital Cinema Production
One (1) to two (2) years of experience in program management and customer service
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University or equivalent professional experience
